Church Overview
We love you at Bethesda! We are a community of believers worshiping in the metro
Atlanta city of East Point, Georgia. Our goal is to share the love of Jesus with as many people as we can reach in our city and beyond.

Mission
At Bethesda Christian Ministries we are dedicated to creating a sanctuary of faith and fellowship, where all are welcomed with open arms. Guided by the teachings of Christ, we strive to be a beacon of hope and love, nurturing spiritual growth, fostering community engagement, and serving as instruments of God's grace in our world.
Vision
We reach out to serve our community, reach in to teach the Word of God, and reach forward to help transform the world for the glory of God.

What We Believe
The Holy Trinity: We believe in one God, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal.
-
Scripture Reference: Matthew 28:19 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

The Sovereignty of God: We believe that God is the creator of the universe and has a divine plan for all of creation.
-
Scripture Reference: Isaiah 46:10 - "Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose.'"

Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified, buried, and resurrected. He ascended to Heaven and will return again to reign eternally.
-
Scripture Reference: John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

Salvation: We believe that salvation is a gift from God, obtained through faith in Jesus Christ, and not by our works.
-
Scripture Reference: Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

The Bible: We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired word of God, without error in its original writings. It is our ultimate and final authority in faith and life.
-
Scripture Reference: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 - "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work."

The Church: We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, a community of believers unified through faith in Christ, commissioned to spread the gospel.
-
Scripture Reference: 1 Corinthians 12:27 - "Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it."

The Sacraments: We believe in two sacraments ordained by Christ: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. They are symbols of our covenant with God.
-
Scripture Reference: Matthew 28:19, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.

Resurrection and Eternal Life: We believe in the resurrection of the body, eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
-
Scripture Reference: John 5:28-29 - "Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment."

Human Dignity: We believe that all humans are created in God's image and deserve love, respect, and dignity.
-
Scripture Reference: Genesis 1:27 - "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."

The Great Commission: We believe that it's the Church's mission to make disciples of all nations, spreading the love and teachings of Jesus Christ.
-
Scripture Reference: Matthew 28:19-20 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."
